Reality of Khatam-an-Nubuwwah
“Finality of Prophethood”
Muhammad is not the father of any of your men; but he is the Messenger of Allah and Seal of the Prophets. And Allah is Knowledgeable of all things (Sura 33:40)

The true meaning of this Verse is that our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last and final Prophet to have been sent with a divine-law. After him there can be no Prophet who can abrogate his Shari’ah or independent of his authority. The true meaning of Khaatam-an-Nabiyyeen (Seal of Prophets) is that Prophet Muhammad is the superior prophet in the chain of God’s prophets, in whose person all spiritual excellences and virtues find their ultimate culmination.
